Atlanta went over the top recently when superstar RuPaul visited our city. His dear friend DJ Tennessee was here also and photographed one of their wildest nighttime romps about town. RuPaul and Tennessee were thrilled that I am placing its highlights here on my web page especially for you to see. I bet you will be too!
RuPaul had a fit to go to the Monday night drag show at Traxx at The Warehouse (306 Luckie Streeet 404 681-4422, shows at 10:30pm and 12:30am) that kicks off Atlanta's week with fabulous style. Above, RuPaul is greeted by the night's lucious co-hostess, the always elegant Dominique Rashad. Below he is about to be fried, dyed and laid to the side by that ever out-of-control "TrashMouth of the South" Sophia McIntosh.
Backstage at Traxx's, RuPaul got to pose with three of the sumptuous girls from the Traxx cast. I do so wish I had been able to go with them that night. RuPaul said everyone was so wonderful and he had the most wonderful time! That's just the way it goes in The gAyTL!
I've not been able to learn the moniker of the beautiful being with RuPaul in the left photo, but Ru is showcased by Nicole Luv Dupree (left) and Stasha Sanchez in the other one. (I'VE FOUND OUT! Thanks to this gracious note from Coco St. James: "The girl in the left photo in red with RuPaul - her name is Raquel Lord. You said you didn't know her name. I happen to look up to Raquel. Just thought you should know her name.")
Afterwards, RuPaul mingled with Regina Simms (left) and Taisha Khan (right) who who added extra sparkle to the glittering crowd that night.
